Goals for 2010 and 22. :)

1. Graduate College

2. Lose 22 pounds by the 22nd of March (random month)

3. Run for 22 minutes without stopping

4. Get a new job

5. Move into a new house/apt

6. Spend at least 22 (intentional) minutes a day with the Lord.

7. Write my little brother at least once a month.

8. Go on a vacation.

9. Quit drinking soda.

10. No haircuts for me this year...lettin it grow.

11. Commit to pray for my parents on a daily basis.

12. Take a dance class.

13. Adopt a compassion child with friends.

14. Be actively involved in my Sunday School class.

15. Love people more.

16. Give away the clothes I don't wear.

17. Start working toward opening my salon.

18. Spend more time with my family.

19. Get my passport.

20. Go on a mission trip.

21. One word: Karaoke.

22. Have a legit accountability group.

2010 and 22, You are already 22 steps above 21. Praise the Lord for a great support system.

I wanna do it.

I really want to start doing yoga/pilates and strength training.

I want to get lean and strong in my core.

I want to look hot for summer. (inner core laughter)

I have not been able to comfortably wear a swimsuit, EVER, and so this summer 2010, I will wear one and I will wear it proudly. :)

My sweet friend, Amy, is going to hold me accountable and I am actually going to do this.

Satan can bite the dust, I am going to succeed.

Crossing your fingers

Prayer. Crossing fingers. Lucky Rabbits Foot. Whatever it is that you do, please do it now.

I will be graduating in May from Cosmetology school and am praying that the good Lord will have a good job for me that will pay very well so that I can at least be on my own. Im so ready to have my home, one that I can take ownership and pride in, one that I can have my friends over too, one that I can clean and bake and have fun in.

I was chatting with my sweet friend, Amy, the other day and we started talking about moving in with each other come July. Her lease is up and hopefully I will be in a sound financial situation. I was on the computer the other night, just browsing, trying to "budget" and figure out what rent would look like in the area of Houston that I am interested in being in and I stumbled across this gem of a house.

Is this not the cutest house ever? I love it. Its in the heights area, and you can see the Downtown skyline from the front porch. It is incredible. 4 bedrooms/4 FULL bath, 3 car garage, a study, hardwood floors, dining room and a great kitchen. The best part is, it is only $2500 a month. If Amy and I find 2 more room mates we are looking at a spectacular rate of only $625 a person. I am praying, crossing my fingers and rubbing my rabbits foot that the good Lord will save this house for us until July. He is a God of miracles.

Welcome to my life 2010!

Last night our churches singles group, Summit, had an awesome party at the Plaza Club downtown Houston in the Shell building. We had awesome food, drinks, dancing, karaoke, wii rockband, and more karaoke. It seriously was one of the best nights of my life.

RODEO HOUSTON 2010!

Can I get a what what for the Rodeo this year?

I am beyond excited for this Texas tradition. Last year was my first year in Houston and I did not get a chance to hit up the Rodeo. I babysat for about 7 different families through the rodeo, but I never got a chance to go. So, this year, this little girl is goin. Yeah, thats right, I said "goin". My country is comin out yall. hahah.

I am so stoked to find out that the Black Eyed Peas are going to be at the Rodeo on March 18th. OH MY WORD! I can not believe it. I am so excited. I love love LOVE the Black Eyed Peas.

I dont have time to wash my hair....

You shouldn't be shampooing your hair every day. The oils in your hair that are produced, are great for your scalp. If your saying to yourself, "but, my hair gets super greasy" then here is the awesome solution for you.

You can get dry shampoo at almost all salons/spas, but this one, "Bumble and Bumble" is hands down the best. It runs $39.00 on Amazon, but I am serious when I say that you will not be disappointed. They come in all different colors to match your hair. If you cant afford something like this then an alternative for you, mostly blondes, is baby powder.

After the mini vacation I just took this is how I feel.

I feel very refreshed from the time I had to think about who I am and what I was made for.

The past few months have been a very different transition for me, living with my aunt and uncle, starting a new job, making new friends, and finishing up with school. Its all been quite wonderful, but very difficult for me.

I feel like I've kind of just lost myself in my work and school.

I still love Jesus more than I ever have, but Its like I've forgotten what loving Him looks like.

How to love Him and love others.

I need to be teachable. I need to WANT to learn. To love to learn. I need to want to grow.

I feel like He is igniting something inside of me again. Its a very strange feeling, very different.

He is refining who I am and who I am to become.

He loves me and wants me to grow.

How exciting!

How refreshing!

Jesus loves me still, no matter what I have done. He has always and will always love me, and I cant even comprehend why.

AND!!!! HERE COMES THE AWESOME PART........

HE IS JEALOUS FOR ME.

He is.

He is jealous for me and for you. No other mans jealousy compares to HIS jealousy. He loves me more than any person ever will.

Praise the Lord.

Fight for Him to refresh and refine you.
