Has decided....

That I am going to be more crafty this 2011.
I almost always work from the creative side of my brain.
Tomorrow I am going to make a Valentines wreath.
I am super excited about doing this.

New Years Resolutions

So, typically, I am not one for these "Resolutions". I don't like to make promises I can't keep. But, for some reason I have decided to make a few this year.
I feel like the Lord is teaching me lots lately. How to be calm, and content in the Lord, how to trust that He has a plan and how to remember what is right and wrong and try to remain in Him so that I please Him.
So here are a few of my resolutions.

1. Take care of myself, my body, my mind, my relationship with Jesus.


Oh, that kind of seems to sum it all up.
For sure, it all seems like a lot.
But, I know the Lord wants me to be a better person.
He desires Godliness.
I desire Him.

My My, how things are moving so quickly.

With working 2 jobs and the holidays very quickly approaching, I cant seem to wrap my mind around the fact that I have to start paying back my student loans in just 1 month.
Oh MY.
Life.
Life just keeps creeping on by.

Kroger Restrooms.

Preface: I work part-time at Kroger in the floral department that is located DIRECTLY in front of the restrooms. 

Question: Why is it that 90% of the people that walk by me, on their way to the restroom, feel the need to explain to me why they are going to the restroom? 

Answer: Maybe they are insecure because I may or may not keep a timer on them in case they stink up my restroom and then I can point and laugh at them. Or maybe they have been subject to me coming into the bathroom very quietly and turning off the lights. Hmmm...We will never know. 

Bible Coaster.

Here comes the transparency. 

Are you ready?

Its a lot of truth. 

Hard to say. 

Hard to write. 

But here it is. 

My bible has become a coaster on my nightstand. 

The only time I look at it is when I set my drink on it, plug in my phone, or turn on the lamp. 

It's sad. 

I have never been consistent with my discipline in reading the Word, but I keep thinking that it will magically change every year that I get older, or after every summer I spend at camp, or every Sunday I go to church. 

I know I'm not alone.
