Really God? What are you doing?

If all of you didn't know this already, I recently moved back to Katy, Texas for a wonderful job as a hairstylist. I moved into my new apartment and even decided to be super responsible and take a second job. Woohoo for Brittany.
Then comes the bad news.
Last week I got news that my AMAZING job as a hairstylist is crumbling all around me. They cut my hours from 40 hours a week to 18 hours a week.
I am DEVASTATED.
Seriously, I have to look for a new job already? What the heck!?!?!?!
Lord, what are you doing?
Gals and Guys, please pray the Jesus would direct my path and that I would make the right decision.
Making decisions is always hard for me.

Praying for my Momma.

Last night my mom's last living parent passed away. 

Sherrie was my mom's step-mom. She has been in our lives for as long as I can remember. Sherrie's husband, Papa Kern just passed away last April and it has been real hard for Mom to get past and know she everything happens for a reason. 

Sherrie has been battling cancer for the past 11 years on and off. We knew that her passing was inevitable and that her suffering would come to an end soon. 

Please pray for my mom as she grieves her step-mom.

10 days! :)

In a short (but feels long) 10 days I will be moving into my BEAUTIFUL new apartment in Katy, Texas.
WOOHOO!
For those of you who don't know me all that well, you know should know that this is a HUGE deal. For the past 4 years I have lived with family/friends/roommates that I have been placed with. It has all been awesome and such a blessing, but now its time for me to be a big girl. Im officially 100% on my own. I have an awesome roommate, Bethany, who I am so thankful for. Its so cool how the Lord ordained for us to live together.
So, since I am moving into a new place, of course I want to buy new things. I found this beautiful bedding at Pottery Barn about 6 months ago and I have been slightly obsessed with it ever since. I checked online last week to see if it was still there and guess what? Its on SALE! OH MY WORD!
Thank you Pottery Barn for your continued support in my addiction to all things beautiful.

What the heck?

I officially STINK at keeping up with my blog.
I have been so super unorganized since I moved back to Houston, maybe it has something to do with the fact that Im living on a couch and out of my camp suitcases still.
Only 2 more weeks and I will be moved into my beautiful new apartment. PTL!
Until then, unorganization is just how it is and I need to deal with it.

I decided to start a slew of posts of some of my favorite people from the summer. 

This is Tyler Williams.

He is by far one of the coolest kids in the entire world. 

Sweet boy is fairly inappropriate at times, but that is what makes him SO FUN!

I am going to miss him dearly when the summer comes to an end in just a short 10 days, but the amazing thing about Tyler is that he is staying at Tejas to intern for the year. Woo Hoo!

My Biffles.

These are the greatest friends I could ever ask for. 

Nelan, Jennie, myself and Meredith

I am SO excited about this weekend!
I will be spending all weekend with the 3 best friends ever. These are my camp biffles. We all have met and maintained a wonderful, God given, friendship for the past 3-4 years.
Friday night starts our last hangout before we all disperse for the fall. We are going to spend the weekend at the West's lake house in Austin. :)
Nelan is heading to school is South Carolina, Mer will be in Brownwood at Howard Payne, Jennie will be at Camp and I am heading back to Houston.
Praise the Lord for these sweet girls and the time I have known them.

Rain.

I love days that it rains and Im stuck in my office with a lemongrass candle and norah playing in my ear. It makes life so sweet. The only thing that could make it better is if I was in my bed watching pride and prejudice.
Mmmmmmm....God is good.
