I came across this product about 6 years ago when I was working at an uptown salon and I feel in love. I tend to like my hair messy and beach blown, so if your not a fan, you most likely wont like the product. 

You should first shampoo and condition your hair with a curly shampoo, I recommend Curl Conscious- by bumbleandbumble. Then towel dry hair and spray in Surf Spray and diffuse. Use until you have the desired look and texture.

A great weekend!

A couple of weekends ago, I went on a retreat with my sunday school class, The 9one0, to volunteer for family camp for the single parent families. It was seriously one of the best weekends of my life. I made so many friends and got to be a apart of a loving community. There were about 25 different families there, along with about 15 of us single adults, and we were basically there to just hang and love on the kids. I had the opportunity to sing with these 2 guys, Ryan and Ryan, and we had a great time. Im so thankful I had that opportunity to serve with them.  Here are some awesome pictures that Topher, the great, took from the trip. :)

One of the many things Jesus shows me constantly, but tonight especially, is that He is for me. I am chosen by Him. Fearfully and Wonderfully made, wonderful are Your works, O Lord. 

I dont deserve His kind affection but, man, I am so thankful for His love. Is it crazy to any one else how perfectly loved you are? You are forgiven and dearly loved. No matter your sin, "Neither life, nor death, nor angles, nor demons, NOTHING can separate you from His love." 

I have screwed up so much in my life, with my finances, my health, my relationships, you name how I could screw up, and I've done it. Jesus is my redeemer though, and He is faithful to show me that I am forgiven, loved and STILL HOLY! Wow! Me, You, your sister, your brother, mother, dad, friend, enemy, you are still holy. None compares to Jesus. He is my Rock and Redeemer. 

HOLY. Such a small word with such a huge impact on me. 

I am His holy and beautiful child.

Another New Chapter

This past weekend, my sweet aunt and uncle let me move into their amazing new home. It is a new chapter for all of us here in Katy, but I sure am excited to see how the Lord works here. 

I moved in on Saturday and then started school again on Monday. It is so great to be back at school, something about it feels so different this year, Im excited to be there with all my old girls and the new ones.

About 5 months ago, a sweet young man asked my sweet sister to be his wife and she said, YES!

In a short 12 days Julie Chariee Burchfield and Simeon Lee Jack will be married. 

I have so much to do in these next 12 days, its not even funny. 

The biggest thing I must do, is write a speech.

I have been really challenged today to love. I am challenged because it is easy to love someone who loves you back, but not so easy to love someone who isn't so great at the loving back part. 

My prayer is that the Lord softens my heart to those who do me wrong. Break me, Lord. Your love is all I need to learn to love those.
